Tammy Klinger, M.Ed., LPC, is a licensed professional counselor and the founder of Klinger Counseling, established in 2018 to provide a personalized and compassionate approach to mental health services in the Chester County area. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practices, Tammy customizes her methods to meet each client’s unique needs, ensuring a supportive and effective therapeutic experience.
With over 20 years of experience working within the disability community, Tammy has served as a special educator, school counselor, and individual and family therapist. Her background includes supporting individuals with hearing, learning, visual, and cognitive challenges, autism spectrum disorders, and a variety of mental health diagnoses. She uses a strength-based approach, believing that everyone has innate abilities that can be cultivated to achieve meaningful personal growth.
Expanding her vision of integrative care, Tammy founded Balanced Learning Academy LLC, a specialized school for students with mental health needs. The Academy focuses on building students' resilience for both life and academics. This therapeutic educational environment begins by addressing emotional regulation using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) frameworks, gradually incorporating academic demands as emotional readiness increases.
Tammy’s mission across all her work is to empower individuals, children, teens, and adults to recognize and apply their strengths in achieving self-defined goals, whether in therapy, education, or life.
